Sahara Beach practical info:

We want you to have a nice and comfortable holiday. To make your stay sweet we recommend you to take a look at our suggestions of what to bring with you from home.

Since we are not in the middle of a tourist-machine the selection in the stores are limited.

Money: Euro and am.dollar works fine. There is a bank-machine in Sharm airport where you can get egyptian pounds. We recommend you to take out some pounds from the machine so you have a start! Nuweiba (our nearest city about 15 min. with taxi) has many banks, so there is no problem if you run short of money. There is also a cash-machine at Taba border.

Visa: You need visa to Sinai, and you get a four week visa at Sharm airport for about 10 euro. You can buy it in the bank-office at the airport. Or it may be included in your ticket.

Sleeping: In the hoshas there is beds inkluding bedcover and linen, but please bring your own towels. If you plan on making a mountain-safari (something we really recommend) you need to bring a sleepingbag.

Swimming: Bring your own mask and snorkel or buy/rent them here. Fins are fun! The salinity in the water makes you float easy. We highly recommend that you use bathing shoes since it is a coral-area.

Sun: The light is very bright and sunglasses is a must! Bring also your own sunscreen, the selection in the stores are limited!

Clothing and shoes: The most important footwear are sandals. For mountains: good sandals or mountain-boots. When it comes to clothing: bring loose comfortable clothes. A lot of sitting is close to the ground so tight jeans is not the best choice. There is always a need for long sleeves and long legs. .Either as a protection from the sun or at night in wintertime. Please consider that you are in a muslim-country and the dress code is different than in Europe. Sunbathing topless is prohibited in Egypt!

Travel farmacy: If you have a sensitive stomach bring Idoform or likewise. We have mosquitoes in seasons so mosquito remedy is a good choice. Aloe Veragel is genious if you catch a sunburn, plaster and disinfecting liquid is always good to have at hand.

Electricity: There are electricity in the hoshas when our generator is working. You can charge your mobile or other electric devices within theese times!

Prices: 80 EP pr.night including breakfast pr.person.
